My mother was a Bemont and my father a Standish, but this is not the first time the families have joined. Roger de Busli was the great great grandfather of Julia de Spileman, the wife of the first Standish (Leising de Standish). Roger de Busli was a member of Robert de Beaumonts entourage during the Norman invasion of England.
